Black Hole collects nothing. There is no account, no analytics, and no server that sees your data.

Screen content. To bend your screen, Black Hole captures it live using Apple's ScreenCaptureKit. Those frames are processed on your Mac, drawn to the overlay, and discarded immediately. Nothing is written to disk, stored, or transmitted anywhere.

License validation. When you enter your license key, it is sent once to Polar (our payment provider) to confirm it is valid. That is the only network request the app ever makes.

Settings. Your preferences and license key are stored locally on your Mac in standard macOS user defaults.

Payments. Purchases are handled by Polar, who act as merchant of record. We never see or store your payment details.
