Mac Screensaver App

Leave your Mac alone for a few minutes and a black hole swallows your desktop. Touch any key and it's gone.

Most Mac screensavers replace your desktop with a video: fish, drifting photos, a clock. Black Hole replaces nothing. It reads your live screen thirty times a second and bends it — your own windows and your own text curving into arcs around an event horizon.

Leave the Mac alone and screen saver mode takes over by itself after five minutes; you choose the delay. The first key or mouse move ends it instantly, and that keystroke is swallowed rather than typed into whatever you had open.

It works the other way round too: start a focus session and the black hole arrives when your time is up, as a break reminder you can't click away. One-time $4.99, no subscription, macOS 14 or later. Screen Recording permission is required — without it there is nothing to bend.

That is a real macOS desktop, not an animation. Black Hole reads your live screen 30 times a second and bends it around the event horizon — your own windows, your own text.
